Sherion Morrison dies after acid attack

A 24-year-old woman who was battling for her life in hospital after being attacked and doused with a corrosive substance in Clarendon on Sunday, has succumbed to her injuries.

The woman has been identified as Sherion Morrison, a cashier of Sunset Crescent in the Four Paths area of the parish.

Reports are that about 11:40 a.m., Morrison was at her home when she was attacked by an unknown assailant.

An alarm was raised and the injured woman was rushed to hospital in the parish, and later transferred to a medical facility in Kingston, where she later succumbed to the injuries.

Police in Clarendon are investigating the incident and the subsequent development
