Grammy-winning reggae star Koffee earned another major accolade recently when Rapture, the title track off her Grammy Award-winning EP, was certified silver in the United Kingdom for sales of over 200,000 copies.
According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), Rapture was issued the award on August 6, which is also celebrated as Jamaica’s Independence Day, after it reached the appropriate level of sales for silver certification as measured by The Official Charts Company.
This is Koffee’s second such silver certification as Toast which was also certified silver in the United Kingdom in January 2020, after it sold 200,000 copies. Toast has since gone on to sell gold, a whopping 400,000 copies.
The official audio for Rapture has amassed almost 15 million views on YouTube. The remix featuring dancehall star has racked up more than 34 million views on YouTube.
